Company Background

When was Trigard Memorials established?
Trigard Memorials was founded in 2003 by the Darby family. Drawing on their experience in the funeral industry, they saw an opportunity to revolutionize the way life stories were told through grave memorials. This vision led them to begin manufacturing bronze markers with engraved photographs, at a time when most memorials featured simple designs.
Who currently owns Trigard Memorials?
Trigard Memorials is proudly owned and operated by the third and fourth generations of the Darby family. Inspired by “Big Jim” Darby, a natural-born leader and entrepreneur, this new generation continues to lead the company with a progressive mindset, upholding the values of their predecessors.

What’s the difference between commercial bronze and cast bronze markers?
While both styles offer timeless appeal and permanence, they differ in their manufacturing techniques, aesthetics, and inherent properties. Commercial bronze memorials are crafted through direct-to-metal machining, resulting in sharp imagery that aligns with a modern aesthetic. Cast bronze memorials are formed by pouring molten bronze into pre-set molds, giving them a more traditional look with classic charm.
How long will a bronze memorial last?
Bronze is renowned for its durability and has been used for centuries in statuary and national memorials. Although a bronze memorial will naturally develop a green patina over time, this change will not compromise its integrity. The memorial will retain its shape and detail for generations to come.
Can a bronze memorial be cleaned or refurbished if needed?
Regular cleaning is recommended to preserve the marker’s natural beauty. Start by carefully removing any loose dirt or debris. Then, gently wash the marker with mild soap and water using a soft, lint-free cloth, or try our specially formulated Bronze Cleaner. If the memorial sustains surface damage or scratches, it can usually be refinished to restore its original condition.
Can I design and purchase my memorial in advance of my passing?
Yes, many people choose to purchase bronze memorialization in advance. The marker is placed on the pre-selected grave, and at the time of passing, a matching scroll inscribed with the death date is affixed to the permanent memorial.
What types of products does Trigard Memorials offer in addition to grave markers?
Our offerings include a wide array of products, including cremation memorials, niche plates, urns, and more. We also specialize in fully customized monuments and signage for cemeteries and memorial parks across the country.

Managing Orders

Will I receive a proof of the grave memorial?
Most definitely! Once we receive an order, our graphic designers will create a computer-generated preview of the finished marker. This step typically takes about 6-8 business days, depending on the number of orders we are handling.
How long does it take for a marker to be produced?
For the most accurate estimates, we recommend contacting us directly, as time frames can vary based on order volume. Generally, our grave markers have a lead time of approximately 8-10 weeks from the time we receive a signed approval.
Are rush orders available?
While we can’t always guarantee expedited order availability, customers are welcome to contact us to see if we can accommodate a 6-week rush order.
